
Massive Shredded Cheese Recall Due to Potential Metal Fragments
LOUISIANA (KMDL-FM) - The FDA has announced a massive shredded cheese recall over concerns the cheese may contain metal fragments which could lead to internal injury.
The shredded cheese recall covers numerous different brands and types of cheese sold at multiple stores in 31 states, including Louisiana and Texas.

FDA Shredded Cheese Recall
The new FDA shredded cheese recall has been issued for multiple products sold at major retailers across 31 states. The FDA has given the recall their second-highest risk level due to the possibility of metal fragments in the cheese that could cause internal injuries.
The recall was initially issued in October of this year, but on December 2, 2025 the FDA updated the risk level to Class II.

The shredded cheese being recalled was sold at major retailers like Aldi, Walmart, Target, and more across 31 states including Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, and Mississippi.
