Savannah Bananas Announce 2026 Schedule – Louisiana Dates Revealed

(KMDL-FM) Banana Ball, I know it sounds like something you would need to buy beads, a mask, and a gown for, but no, it's actually baseball. Well, it's Savannah Bananas Baseball, and no, this is not your grandpa's "national pastime". The team has announced its schedule for 2026, and it looks as though the Savannah Bananas are bringing their unique brand of baseball back to Louisiana.

The Savannah Bananas and their nemesis on the diamond, The Party Animals, are no strangers to Louisiana baseball fans. The teams played just a few months ago in Baton Rouge. And before those August dates, the teams made an appearance in the Capitol City in March of 2024.

Describing what goes on at a Savannah Bananas baseball "experience" is a lot like trying to describe a Kiss Concert if you've never seen one. Sure, it looks like baseball. The rules of baseball "kind of" apply. But then again, it's like the Bananas borrowed from another iconic sports brand, The Harlem Globetrotters, to fashion the game into a more entertaining version of itself.

What Is It Like At a Savannah Bananas Baseball Game?

Also new to "Banana Ball" this year is the addition of two new teams. Of course, you're familiar with the Savannah Bananas; that's the team that started it all, and you probably know the Party Animals; those are the OGs, if you will.

Next came the Firefighters who joined the fun of "Banana Ball" in 2024. Last year, the Texas Tailgaters joined the league. That brought the total teams to four. But last night at the Banana Ball City Selection Show, it was revealed that two new teams would be joining the fun. Those teams are the Indianapolis Clowns and the Loco Beach Coconuts.

The "league" also announced that because there are six teams now, there will be a competition to be the best, and that will be determined at the Banana Bowl, which is scheduled for October 2026.

When Will the Savannah Bananas Play in Louisiana?

Meanwhile, Louisiana fans of the Savannah Bananas and their unique form of baseball fun can catch the team in the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The Savannah Bananas will face The Party Animals on March 14th and again on March 15th.

The start times for those games have not been determined, but based on the schedule as we see it, those are the only two stops for the Savannah Bananas in Louisiana this season. Obviously, the season has just been announced, and there could be more dates added, but these are the confirmed dates as announced.

As far as tickets go, they can be quite tough for Savannah Bananas games; therefore, the team has instituted ticket lotteries for many of the cities they visit. If you'd like to join the ticket lottery list, you can do so online.
