Raising Cane's Raises Average Wage To $19.50 An Hour

According to Yahoo Finance, Raising Cane's will be investing over $9 million into its workforce, and a big part of the investment is bumping up the hourly wage.

Co-CEO and COO AJ Kumaran says Cane's philosophy behind the investment is simple, saying "Once you take care of people, the business will pay for itself."

Raising Cane's isn't just talking the talk, they're walking the walk by raising the average wage for employees to $19.50 an hour.

"As part of this initiative, the company is offering employees an average hourly wage of $19.50, plus opportunities to make $2 more per hour within the first 12 months of employment, $1 more to work past 10 p.m., and $2 more per hour to train employees, among other incentives."

Raising Cane's already boasts a high retention rate with their employees, and is looking to raise that bar even more with their latest announcement.

Yahoo reports that Raising Cane's is looking to open over 100 new locations in 2023, eventually expanding overall to 1,500 domestic and international locations.

Oh, in case you didn't know, Raising Cane's already offers "restaurant leaders who are first-time homebuyers $10,000 towards closing costs."
