Louisiana T-Mobile Customers Will Experience Price Hikes Starting in June

If you are a T-Mobile customer in Louisiana, there's a good chance you will see a higher bill starting next month.

According to multiple reports, the company has started sending out notifications to its customers whose charges will increase. Those price increases will start as early as next month.

The reason for the price increase?

Yep, that's an easy one. T-Mobile representatives said the price hikes were to "keep up with rising inflation and costs."

How much will the rates go up?

T-Mobile said that the increases will be either $2 or $5 per line, depending on which plan customers are on.

They also said the increases would show up on customers' next bill, which could be "as early as June 5th."

Which plans will likely be affected?

According to a report by The Verge, some of the older plans are expected to see a price increase, including One, Magenta, Magenta 55 Plus / Military, Simple Choice, and Go5G 55 plans for seniors.

What about T-Mobile's price lock-in promises in years past?

Something intriguing to recall is that T-Mobile made price lock-in promises in 2015, 2017, and 2022 for the reportedly affected plans. However, interestingly enough, those promises didn't cover every T-Mobile customer.

The company left out certain plans or limited them to customers switching plans or those newly signing up. So, it seems as though those outside of those terms are potentially seeing rate increases.
