Louisiana Sonic Locations to Add ‘Nutty’ Flavor Combos on Jan. 8

SONIC is getting a bit "nutty" in the New Year with some new flavor infusions.

Starting on January 8, if you head to your favorite SONIC location, you'll be able to enjoy the Peanut Butter Bacon SuperSONIC® Double Cheeseburger and the Peanut Butter Bacon Shake.

Don't think you'll enjoy this? SONIC says to give it a chance. "The flavors may sound too extreme, but don't knock 'em until you try 'em!", says the good folks at America's Drive-In.

The burger will feature two beef patties layered with peanut butter, bacon, grilled onions, and cheese on a bun.

And if you want to top that off with something sweet, the milkshake mixes peanut butter and bacon with vanilla soft serve. It's topped with whipped cream and a cherry.

“Peanut butter and bacon is not a combination you’d expect on a cheeseburger, and you definitely wouldn’t think to combine these flavors into a shake,” said Mackenzie Gibson, Vice President of Culinary & Menu Innovation at SONIC.

She added, "We did it once with the Pickle Juice Slush, and we’re doing it again with this latest ‘this-seems-weird-but-I-have-to-try-it’ combination that you can experience either on a cheeseburger or in a shake.”

These will be limited-time offers from SONIC as you'll only be able to enjoy the peanut butter burger and milkshake until February 4.
