Do you recall when someone won the last Powerball jackpot? It has been a while. In fact, we've gone most of September, all of October and November, and now the first week of December since Powerball produced a top prize winner.

But in fairness to Powerball, its last jackpot was over one billion dollars. So, I guess the benefits of not getting a jackpot winner mean we get bigger prizes down the road.  As a lottery player, which scenario would appeal more to you? How Much Was the Powerball Jackpot For Saturday, December 6, 2025?

Based on what host Randy Traynor was telling us as the balls were about to leave the hopper, the estimated annuitized amount of the Powerball jackpot was $841.4 million.

A jackpot win of that amount would certainly qualify as life-changing, but no tickets sold for the Saturday Powerball drawing matched the numbers needed to make that claim. There were some Match 5 Million winning tickets sold.

The Match 5 Million prize is when a ticket matches all five of the white balls but does not match the red Powerball. Four such tickets were sold for Saturday's Powerball drawing. Those tickets were sold in Texas, Georgia, Florida, and New Jersey. The New Jersey ticket added the game's Power Play option, so the ticket's prize is doubled to $2 million.

What Were Saturday's Powerball Lottery Numbers for December 6, 2025?

We know there was no jackpot winner in Saturday's Powerball, but there were a lot of winners. In fact, well over 10,000 tickets sold in Louisiana can claim a prize from Saturday's Powerball game. To see if you're one of the many winners, here are Saturday's numbers:

13   14   26   28   44   Powerball 07   Power Play x2

The Louisiana Lottery did confirm that a ticket sold in the state for Saturday's Powerball matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. By rule, that prize is $50,000, but the ticket's purchaser opted for the Power Play, which means their prize will be multiplied by two.

How Much Is the Powerball Jackpot for Monday, December 8, 2025?

The fact that there was no jackpot win also means that the Powerball jackpot will be growing for Monday's drawing. Game officials at Powerball are estimating the annuitized jackpot prize will be $875 million when the drawing happens on Monday evening.

I guess it's a good thing that "green" is one of the colors of Christmas, right?

The cash prize, should you win and choose that option, is $403.6 million. The next drawing is Monday night at 10 pm Louisiana time. Powerball tickets cost $2 or $3 if you choose to add the Power Play. You must be 21 or older to play.
