Louisiana Post Offices Announce Multiple Closings for Next Week
(KMDL-FM) When you think of things that you can "depend on," you might think of your faith, your parents, one of those old-school Nokia phones, and the Post Office. Granted, the Post Office can get some bad press from time to time, but when you consider the amount we pay for the quality service we get, we are fortunate to have such a system in place. That's why when the post office closes, it throws a wrench in our plans.
Everyone, get ready, the wrenches are coming, and your plans will be altered slightly next week, as postal facilities across Louisiana have announced planned closures for next week.

Will Mail Be Delivered During the Government Shutdown?

Monday, October 13th, is a federal holiday, and it's not one of those holidays that we are reminded of through flashy retail sales, special sporting events, or even a day at the beach. When Will Post Offices in Louisiana Reopen After Columbus Day?
Regardless of what you call it, how you celebrate it, or even if you don't acknowledge it at all, that's why you're going to be making that short walk to your mailbox for no particular reason if you make that walk on Monday. Regular postal operations should resume on Tuesday. Then we can start our Christmas shopping.
