Cajun Inspired Hot Sauce Advent Calendar Is Heating Up The Holiday Season
(KMDL-FM) Here is a frightening thought: how many paydays do you have until Christmas? Yeah, it's closer than you think, and I know we still have Halloween and Thanksgiving to get through, but if your family celebrates the holiday season with an Advent Calendar, now is the time to make your selection of one of those.
And if you are someone or loves someone who has an affinity for hot sauce, we have an Advent Calendar you need to check out. It includes a great selection of sauces with a new one to sample every day leading up to Christmas.
The Advent Calendar you see pictured is available on Amazon for $79.95, and it includes just about every form of mouth-scorching an individual could want. All of the hot sauces are "Louisiana-style" hot sauces, so you know there is going to be a vinegar and pepper mash base.
Cajun Style Advent Calendar Features 25 Different Hot Sauces
The collection of peppers used to make the different hot sauces ranges from Carolina Reaper to Ghost Pepper to Habanero to Cayenne, Scotch Bonnet, Tabasco, and more. All of the Advent Calendar bottles are special miniature bottles of the selected hot sauce, except one.

The last bottle, the one you will be opening on Christmas Day, comes with a full-sized bottle of hot sauce. So you'll have that to go along with your 24 other sample-sized bottles. It's 25 different flavors and intensities, and it's not for the faint of heart. But for someone who loves hot sauce, we can't think of a warmer way to wish them season's greetings- or should we say seasoned greetings.
To me, there is a quirky religious coincidence between the Advent Calendars we put out for our kids and the celebration that we all share around Easter. You see, because my kids are impatient, many times when they were younger and we'd open the Advent Calendar, we'd find it to be similar to the tomb at Easter- empty.

Now, if you want to make sure that hot sauce doesn't burn too badly when you're enjoying it, perhaps a nice cold beverage would be a good idea. We have some suggestions.
