We've all had it happen. You order something and it looks nothing like the picture of it in the advertising.

That happened to a Lafayette woman recently when ordering pizza from a local chain. And the picture is quite hilarious.

Apparently, Stacey Bello wanted to treat her family to a delicious pizza from Papa Johns. But she didn't go for just a traditionally shaped pie, she opted for one of their specials right now.

(By the way, and for the record, I absolutely love Papa Johns pizza, so I almost hate to throw shade. But this story was too funny not to share. I hope our friends at Papa Johns can cut us some slack on this one.)

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, Papa Johns offers a neat-looking "Heart-Shaped Pizza," so you can show your loved ones just how special they are to you.

The description on the Papa Johns site reads as follows: "It's love at first bite! Grab your 1-topping thin crust Heart-Shaped Pizza before it's gone. This pizza comes unsliced."

Sounds lovable to me.

Stacey thought so too...until she ordered said pizza and opened the box.

Here's what the fail looked like:

Y'all! I don't know about you, but I'm dying!

This is just so bad.

The funniest part had to have been when Stacey tried to surprise her kids with the "Heart-Shaped Pizza."

"I gathered all the kids around to open the box because it was a surprise…imagine all of our faces!" said Stacey.

Special kudos go out to Scott Vincent, who made this golden comment on Stacey's post: "It looks more like a pancreas than a heart."

For comparison's sake, this is what the pizza should have looked like.

I'll need to find out from Stacey if they just ate their pancreas-shaped pizza or if they asked Papa Johns to replace it.

Either way, this is just funny stuff!

UPDATE: Stacey reported to us that Papa John's reached out to her to make things right. And I thought that was a smart and professional gesture on their part.
