Who is Jelly Roll?

Born in Antioch, Tennessee (just east of Nashville), Jelly Roll is a rapper-turned-country singer who has taken the genre by storm since debuting with 2022's smash "Son of a Sinner."

That song was off of his 2021 country debut album Ballads of the Broken. "Song of a Sinner" topped the country charts by the end of that year.

He's since followed up with #1 hits, "Need a Favor" and "Save Me" with Lainey Wilson, both from his 2023 release, Whitsitt Chapel.

His new single, "Halfway to Hell," is already screaming up the country charts as it sits inside the Top 25 after being released just a month ago.

Awards and Accolades

At the 2023 CMT Music Awards, Jelly Roll won for Male Video of the Year, Male Breakthrough Video of the Year, and Digital-First Performance of the Year, all for "Son of a Sinner."

In November 2023, Jelly Roll won the award for New Artist of the Year at the 57th Annual Country Music Association Awards.
