Over the weekend, our friend Jamie Bergeron experienced a terrible loss in his family as his sweet mom Sapha passed away.

If you follow Jamie on social media, you know he was very close to his mother. (We're not just talking just proximity, as she lived next door to him.)

Over the last few years, Mrs. Sapha battled different health issues, and Jamie and his siblings were always by her side.

Jamie took to social media to share the news.

Then on Sunday, Jamie and his band, the Kickin' Cajuns were scheduled to play at Frozen Sun Maurice. With tremendous strength, Jamie and the boys took the stage.

There was one particular moment in their performance that was really touching and left not a dry eye in the place.

We appreciate Lori Nielsen for capturing Jamie Bergeron paying tribute to his late mom with an absolutely moving performance of the Camey Doucet classic "Mom, I'm Still Your Little Boy."

Wow, just wow. That sure took a lot of courage to carry on, play the show, and deliver a great show as Jamie and the band always do.

On behalf of everyone here at the radio station, we would like to send our sincere condolences to the entire Bergeron family. May your sweet Momma rest in peace.

We will pass along funeral arrangements once those are made public.
