Fans of Disney Theme Parks have been beside themselves over the past few days ever since a report emerged online that suggested that the "house a mouse built" was going to allow a Waffle House franchise to be operated inside one of the parks.

I can tell you from a personal standpoint a Waffle House at Disney World would be a dream come true for me. I love the southern standards the "House" serves scattered, smothered, and covered. And when it comes to entertainment, the atmosphere and ambiance of a Waffle House at two in the morning on a Saturday beats anything any Disney Imagineer could ever dream up.

Needless to say, an addition of Waffle House to the Disney line-up of dining options would be epic in my book. But how are real Disney fans taking the news? Where would the Waffle House be located? And finally, is this whole Waffle House at Disney a pile of Pluto pellets?

According to the website Moustrap News the Disney Waffle House would be replacing Casey's Corner in the park, which Disney fans know as "Magic Kingdom". The "report" caused quite a bit of chaos among the "Disneyfied". If you weren't aware Casey's Corner is one of Magic Kingdom's most popular quick-serve restaurants. They serve a similar fare to that of Waffle House if truth be told.

Casey's Corner is well known for their corndog nuggets and their casual "all-American" brand of dining options. This led many fans of Casey's Corner to rise up in rebellion. There were reports of online petitions and many questioned why would Disney close one style of restaurant to just open a restaurant that serves basically the same thing.

Several commenters on social platforms that did not approve of the idea noted that there is a Waffle House Restaurant very close to the Disney Parks in Orlando just off Interstate 4. So, those who wanted a Waffle House could satisfy their hunger without an actual Waffle House being "on property".

Wait a minute, this is the Internet. Sometimes people don't tell the truth online, do they?

Since we could find very few details about a Waffle House coming to Disney World except for this one website, we decided to visit the bastion of online truth which is Snopes.com. Here's what Snopes revealed.

The post on Mousetrapnews.com was revealed to be satire. Snopes reports the website was created to create stories about Disney that "we wish were true".  So, no. A Waffle House is not coming to Magic Kingdom.

But if you like reading strange stories or strange ideas about stories involving Disney then Moustrapnews is the site for you. They have stories of a man losing his hands on Space Mountain and a report about Disney experimenting with a roller coaster that jumps its tracks.  And if you ask me, that's just the kind of horse puckey you'd hear at a Waffle House at two in the morning on a Saturday. So, I guess there is a connection between the two.

And since we're discussing things that "aren't quite right" please consider the following.

Historical Movies That Are Wildly Inaccurate

These films are based on real people and events ... but just barely. Most of what was up on screen was invented by screenwriters.
