Bed Bath & Beyond Returning to Louisiana – When?
(KMDL-FM) When the news first broke that nationwide retailer Bed Bath & Beyond was going out of business, one of my coworkers lamented the news by pulling a plethora of coupons out of her purse. Bad Bath & Beyond had quite a reputation among the savviest shoppers as a good place to get a great discount with the brand's iconic "20% Off" coupon.
But that was then, and this is now, and according to a press release that is barely a week old, fans of Bed Bath & Beyond will have more than 250 new reasons to rejoice.
How is Bed Bath & Beyond Able to Come Back?
Apparently, the parent company of the Bed Bath & Beyond brand has completed the purchase of Kirkland's Home Brand Assets. The deal is worth more than $10 million.

But what it means to shoppers such as you and me is this: the company will be converting 250 Kirkland stores to Bed Bath & Beyond locations. That means over the next two years, you should see Bed Bath & Beyond locations opening in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Monroe, Alexandria, Denham Springs, Slidell, Covington, and Harvey.

We say "should see stores opening" because not all of the former Kirkland's locations will be transitioning into Bed Bath & Beyond. It was reported that some 25 locations of Kirkland's will be shuttered as part of the purchase deal.
When Did Bed Bath & Beyond Close Its Stores?
Back in 2023, Bed Bath & Beyond was acquired by Overstock.com, which transitioned the former brick-and-mortar brand into an online entity. However, the company reversed course on the "online only" strategy by opening a physical location in suburban Nashville this past week, with plans to open even more locations in Tennessee in the very near future.
Based on available information and since we know you were wondering, yes, the new Bed Bath & Beyond plans to offer and honor those iconic 20% off coupons just like the former version of the store used to do. From what we've heard, as part of the grand opening of the Tennessee stores, they are even honoring expired coupons, and suddenly everything feels right in the world again.
