Popular Family Restaurant Brings Back ‘All You Can Eat’ Deal

(KMDL-FM) Many American families are struggling financially. The price of fuel has risen by more than a dollar and a quarter per gallon over the past year. Heck, the price of just about everything has gone up. That's why American families are searching for value, especially in the simple pleasures that we once could all afford. You like going out to eat.

The "all you can eat" buffet was a mainstay of family dining establishments. You could also find all-you-can-eat at places like Applebee's and Red Lobster, where they didn't have a buffet. Apparently, the all-you-can-eat shrimp at Red Lobster was so popular that many critics say that's what caused the chain to suffer the financial difficulties it is now going through.

All-You-Can-Eat is Back. Here Is Where to Find It

From what we understand, Red Lobster locations are once again offering "endless shrimp." But you'd have to go to Baton Rouge, Metairie, or Monroe if you wanted those shrimp as opposed to wild-caught fresh from the Gulf shrimp that you could find just about everywhere else.

The real news in all-you-can-eat comes from Applebee's. The chain is saying that for a limited time, guests can enjoy an endless feast, their words, not mine, that includes boneless wings ( we call those chicken nuggets at our house), Riblets, and Double Crunch Shrimp.  The "dine-in" only deals will set you back $15.99.

What Menu Items are Now All-You-Can-Eat at Applebee's?

And yes, according to a company spokesperson, guests may mix and match. The boneless wings include a variety of sauces such as Buffalo, Honey BBQ, Sweet Asian Chile, Garlic Parmesan, Extra Hot Buffalo, and Hot Honey Glaze.  The Riblets also come with a selection of sauces, and the shrimp are fried golden brown. Let's hope there is tartar sauce or cocktail sauce.

Applebee's is also offering margarita specials for the summer. It's called the Poolio Party, and the drinks are made with Don Julio brand tequila. Now, if you're looking for a more intimate occasion and at a place where the clientele is a little more "refined," you might want to look into one of these establishments.
