Two People Injured After Tornado Touches Down in Louisiana

Two people in Evangeline Parish were reportedly injured Tuesday morning after a tornado swept through parts of Evangeline Parish.

Doppler radar showed a circulation near Basile, Louisiana and it moved north towards the Pine Prairie and Turkey Creek area.

News15 reported early Tuesday morning that two people in Basile suffered minor injuries after a tornado hit the small town in Evangeline Parish. According to the report, the injuries sustained were minor.

We were told that a twister hit a small business in Basile, Rhea’s Specialty Meat & Smokehouse.

Still, it was a dangerous situation in Acadiana Tuesday morning as a cell moved across parts of Evangeline Parish.
