When Taylor Swift's Eras Tour rolled into New Orleans, they were greeted with four giant friendship bracelets that hung outside of the Caesars Superdome, and now you can place a bid to own one as they will go up on the auction block according to WGNO.

According to USA Today, Shawn Kolodyny was the artist who actually designed the four bracelets, and he was in charge of making sure they were hung on the Superdome.

As he placed all of his giant friendship bracelets up at the Superdome, the whole project resulted in 140 feet of the design. The giant installation is now said to be going up for auction.

How Did the Bracelets Come to Be?

The Caesars Superdome marketing person, Abby Jones, came up with the idea about a month before the three-day massive concert event. It was then they commissioned  Kolodyny to come up with the project.

Each "bead" of the giant friendship bracelet has air pumped into it. They each were around 7 feet tall.

The origin of the bracelets that all of the Taylor Swift fans are trading came from the fifth song on Swift's album "Midnight." The song is "You're on Your Own Kid". There is a lyric in the song, "Everything you lose is a step you take/ So make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it."

That lyric inspired fans to start making and wearing bracelets designed with their favorite Taylor Swift lines and trading them.

Does Taylor Swift Love the Friendship Bracelets?

Yes, she loves the bracelets, and it was an attempt to give Taylor a friendship bracelet that really brought her and Travis Kelce together, with the NFL Kansas Chiefs player saying that he never thought it would basically do the trick to get her attention but he did it none the less.
