Gumbo Alert: Strong Cold Front Arrives in Louisiana To Start Week
Louisiana is bracing for another strong cool front and this time you may want to take out the gumbo pots.
After a hot start to October, we will be getting much relief In the temperatures as a strong cool front enters and sweeps across much of the deep south.
Sadly, the front approaching will push a massive hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico again toward Florida, but for Louisiana, we expect some delightful weather this week.
If you are a fan of cooler mornings, you will love that feeling when you open your door in the morning. Lows this week in Louisiana are expected to be in the upper 50s and into the lower 60s at night, while your daytime highs will be in the mid-80s.
Some very dry air is moving in and we should not expect any rain this week but do expect lots of sunshine and some very pleasant weather in the days ahead.
So, if you have been putting off chores outside or in the garage, this may be the week to get it done as it will soon begin to feel like Fall in South Louisiana. And yes, this does call for a gumbo or two in the days ahead.
Remember, as we enjoy some very beautiful weather and much cooler days ahead, our neighbors to the east will be dealing with a dangerous hurricane, so please keep the folks in Florida in your thoughts and prayers.
