Several on-air personalities were let go by ESPN on Friday as Disney continues to downsize across the company.

Some of those cut by ESPN include Jeff Van Gundy, Max Kellerman, Steve Young,  Keyshawn Johnson, Suzy Kolber, and Jalen Rose.

In all, it is reported that 20 on-air personalities were laid off today by the company that once led the way in sports broadcasting.

While some were let go from ESPN, the network did recently sign Pat McAfee to bring his show over to the network, and his 5-year contract is worth close to $85 million.

Now, it will be interesting to see if ESPN makes a run for Shannon Sharpe who recently walked away from his contract with FS1.

UPDATE: More cuts have just been announced out of ESPN.

Here's what one former employee had to say after being notified by ESPN that she was being laid off.
