New Orleans Denies ‘Taylor-Gating’ for Upcoming Taylor Swift Concerts
The hottest tour in the world is making a stop in New Orleans later this week and this weekend, the Eras Tour featuring Taylor Swift, and now police have a warning for some fans.
With ticket prices exceeding $1,000 for this tour, many 'Swifties" have been left standing outside of the venues where the pop icon is performing but that will not be happening in New Orleans.
Many fans across the country have been spotted standing outside the stadiums where Taylor Swift is performing just to catch the sound of the show as it happens inside the venues.
Well, officials in New Orleans have announced that fans will not be allowed to stand outside of the Superdome in hopes of hearing Taylor Swift perform. Now, the dome is enclosed, unlike some other stadiums, thus it may be a bit more difficult to hear the show from outside the arena in New Orleans.
City officials say that they will not allow fans to congregate outside the dome during the shows due to security reasons.
This concert is so big that there are no hotel rooms left in the city, and there is a "Super Bowl" type feel in the city as fans from across the country begin to show up in the "Cresent City."
New Orleans Police say that fans who are going to the shows in the Superdome can expect to see some road closures around the French Quarter, much like what you may see for major sporting events in the Dome.
All three of Taylor Swift's shows in New Orleans are sold out, but fans who are desperate enough can purchase tickets for a very high rate on some third-party sites.
We remind you to be careful when purchasing tickets from others for shows like this, whether it's online or even in person.
