Louisiana Man Badly Sun Burnt Arrested for Kidnapping Woman

A man in Louisiana has been arrested in Washington Parish after he allegedly kidnapped a woman.

According to the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office, James Ballard was Captured without Incident at Bogue Chitto State Park.

According to authorities, Ballard and the woman knew each other, but the suspect was holding her and that is when she fought Ballard. The woman who was being held captive escaped after their altercation and was able to contact police.

Many agencies took part in the search for Ballard throughout the day (Monday, April 22) and according to the Sheriff's Office, he was located in a ditch and surrendered to police without incident.

As you can see here, the suspect's back was severely burnt which led some to believe that he may have been hiding in the ditch, while shirtless, for quite some time.
