Louisiana High School Football Team Homecoming Game Canceled
(Lafayette, Louisiana) - Some unfortunate news was announced on Wednesday, and one Acadiana high school will not host their annual homecoming game.
Lafayette Christian Academy announced on social media that their 2025 homecoming game agasint Lake Arthur has been canceled after Lake Arthur forfeited the game.
Sadly, many students, staff, and players were looking forward to this game on Friday night, but that will no longer be the case. LCA will be in the high school football playoffs in the weeks ahead, but that doesn't make up for not having a homecoming game, which many Seniors look forward to.
The LCA Knights are having a great football season, and due to their success on the field this year, they will be hosting playoff games as long as they remain in the postseason tournament.
No reason was given as to why Lake Arthur elected to forego the game this week against LCA.
As we enter postseason action in Acadiana, we will continue to follow area teams competing in the playoffs. You can get scores here and on this station's mobile app after each game.
We wish all of the area high school football teams success in the weeks ahead as they compete for a shot at their respective state championships.
