The concept is that you should try to obtain six vegetables, five fruits, four proteins, three starches, two sauces or spreads, and one enjoyable item for yourself when you're at the grocery store or when you're making your shopping list.

It's meant to speed up and simplify your grocery shopping, help you save money, and encourage you to prepare more meals at home using a variety of items.
