Is Baskin-Robbins closing its stores?

I came across a video on TikTok that stated that Baskin-Robbins is closing its stores on December 31, 2022.

This statement hit me because I had not heard anything about stores closing and I would think that this would be something that would be pretty public. So I started digging into the information.

While I wasn't completely convinced that this video was 100% true, I was still a little concerned that we would be losing another classic establishment.

After doing some digging I did find out that there are a handful of stores that will be closing in the United States this year, but none of them are located in Louisiana. But the information that this TikTok was referencing was the closure of all of Baskin-Robbins stores in the Philippians.

There was no specific reason given as to why the ice cream company decided to close its stores.

Baskin-Robbins opened its first store in 1945 in Glendale, California. An interesting little fact about the company, Baskin-Robbins is now the world's largest chain of ice cream specialty shops.
