Introducing The Chuck II – The First New Converse All Star Design In 100 Years
For the first time in almost 100 years, Converse is giving us an honest sequel to their most popular shoe, the Chuck Taylor All Star.
One reviewer has given some oversight of the new Chuck II's.
The great thing about the new Chuck II's is that they don't necessarily LOOK like a new design. They're only slightly more luxurious. The stitching is nicer, as well as the canvas.
The part I'm most excited about is the Chuck II's are also a little more comfortable to wear! The biggest change comes in the footbed of the shoe. It contains Lunarlon technology, which was provided by Converse's parent company, Nike.
A soft and resilient foam core that helps more evenly spread out impact, Lunarlon makes the Chuck II more comfortable than previous Chucks.
There's an inner ultra suede lining, and a padded, non-slip tongue for 360 degrees of comfort around the ankle and instep.
The Chuck II's will be available in black, white, red, and blue. They will go on sale this Tuesday, July 28th. The suggested retail price is $70 for the Oxfords (low-top), and $75 for the high-top.
