Interview With Lafayette’s Own ‘The Voice’ Contestant Mackenzie Bourg [Audio]

If you missed the beginning of 'blind auditions' on this season of 'The Voice' on NBC, we had a resident of Lafayette make the show as part of Team Cee Lo. 19-year old Mackenzie Bourg performed 'Pumped Up Kicks' by Foster The People which you can watch here.

This morning he stopped by the Planet Radio studios to take time out of his schedule to speak with Tai. You can listen the to full interview here:

Bourg said his journey to be on the show started after he and his father watched the Super Bowl and The Voice aired after. It took a little work to be able to get an audition, but he got through every round to make it to the 'blind audition' round.

Also, after his performance, he noticed that Foster The People started following him on Twitter.
