Houston: 18-Wheeler Causes Train Derailment, Fatality

Another train derailment has occurred, this one taking place in just outside of Houston, Texas.

According to a report from WFAA, the crash that caused the derailment resulted in one fatality.

In this crash, which occurred at a train crossing, an 18-wheeler attempted to cross at the rail crossing and was struck by the train.

The incident caused the derailment of over a dozen rail cars.

In video from R A W S A L E R T S, you can see the carnage left by the crash, including the derailed cars and the truck that allegedly caused the crash.

The driver of that truck reportedly died as a result of the crash, as the truck was dragged several yards before the train came to a stop.

The crash occurred at around 7:30 Monday morning in the eastern portion of Montgomery County.

Officials are monitoring the situation, but no official word has been given on the contents of the railcars that were affected by the crash.
