99 years ago today (2/26), the Original Dixieland "Jazz" Band was the first to ever record Jazz music. And you can hear it now!

The band recorded two tracks that day, "Dixie Jazz Band One-Step" and "Livery Stable Blues."

A few weeks later, the songs were released for the Victor Talking Machine Company, and, much to their surprise, became instant hits. The company sold over a million copies of the 78s!
