Attention fellow Netflix viewers, I am now under the impression that our Netflix viewing could be changed forever...or at least until the end of your new favorite series.

I have always wondered why I felt limited to certain categories or the categories given to me because I watched another movie or series. I couldn't take the restraint and fell off of the Netflix bandwagon. However, I think things have taken a turn for the better!

Apparently Netflix has quite a few categories that we can't see immediately, but are quite easy to get to. You get to these hidden categories by using specific codes. Here are a few that I was pretty excited to learn about:

  • B-Horror Movies (code is 8195)
  • Classic Musicals (code is 32392)
  • Classic Movies (code is 31574)
  • Comic Book and Superhero Movies (code is 10118)
  • Crime Documentaries (code is 9875)
  • Cult Horror Movies (code is 10944)
  • Disney (code is 67673)
  • Musicals (code is 13335)
  • Mysteries (code is 9994)
  • Vampire Horror Movies (code is 75804)
  • Zombie Horror Movies (code is 75405)

Like I said, these are just a few that I didn't know about, but am extremely excited about discovering. Here is how you find these specific categories...

Instead of accessing your Netflix through the application, you will use your browser. You will choose the category you want and type in 'http://netflix.com/browse/genre/(code)' and it will bring up all of the movies listed under that category.

Some may find something wrong with the way this works, but all I see if a weekend in my pjs with ice cream and a new series!

You can check out the full list of categories and their codes at Mashable.com.
