The slow transformation of mankind from its more animalistic form to today's modern homo sapien has taken thousands of years. During that time we have learned one thing in particular. All of that hair that was passed down through aeons of evolution as man changed from a hairy beast to a smooth operator will eventually clog your drain.

If we are being honest the worst violators of this unintentional clogging are the females of the species. It would stand to reason, because the male of the species usually has much shorter hair, even though the male might have more hair covering more of his body it still results in fewer clogs than the long flowing locks of our female companions.

Still, it doesn't matter whose hair it is, standing in a slow draining tub waiting for the water to leave the basin is a pain. It also leads to unsightly rings around your tub and heaven forbid soap scum in places where others might see.

The process of removing hair from a clogged shower drain is not for the faint of heart. The clog of fur often looks like some sort of subterranean creature. It's all matted and twisted around the inner workings of the drain too. That makes it even harder to remove. Then there is still the issue of the remaining "clog" that wasn't attached to the drain.

You could certainly opt for a traditional plumbing product to pour down the drain and allow those harsh chemicals to do the work. Or, since you probably don't have any clog busters in liquid form you could opt for an item that, if you're a female, you probably have in your vanity.

I am speaking of a depilatory. What's that? It's a hair remover. You might use this stuff to remove body hair around sensitive areas of your body or under your arms or even your legs. The hair removal cream literally dissolves the hair on your body and it will do the same thing in your shower drain too.

One online influencer, Mrs Hinch Cleaning, and her followers swear by it. Just squirt a generous portion down your shower drain and let it sit overnight. The hair will be dissolved by morning. Other users say you can squirt the hair removal down the drain, then wait just 30 minutes then flush the remaining hair down the drain with hot water.

A bottle of Liquid Plumr is going to cost you about $6.00 while a tube of hair removal cream is going to run you about $3.00 for the generic stuff. So, there is a little cost saving but it's more about convenience. You probably have hair removal cream at home but will have to make a trip to get some Drano or other drain cleaner.

All because you have to have those flowing locks, we understand.

Regardless, it beats reaching into that hairy mess that is clogging or slowing down your shower drain. That's just gross. But slow-flowing drains are just one of the many things that tend to "grind our gears" if you want some more examples. Well, here you go.

10 Little Things that Grind Our Gears in a Great Big Way

The following items are the kind of things that might not even hit your radar on a normal day. However, on a day when all the little things are not going your way, these might just send you over the edge. It's better you laugh at them now, instead of blowing a gasket and having to call a lawyer later.
