This story goes like this: Zeb Lewinsky, bassist for New York City's premier funky soul rock outfit, the Harmonica Lewinskies, was working on a new film, 'The Truth About Lies.' Part of his team included Kama Roja and Krystal Phillips -- both of whom were also working on 'Like Sunday, Like Rain,' the movie starring Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong. Roja asked Lewinsky for a bunch of Harmonica Lewinskies t-shirts and wound up getting one to Armstrong. And she didn't only give it to Armstrong -- but snapped a photo of him wearing it.

"Billie Joe ended up liking the shirt so much it was featured throughout the whole film," Lewinsky tells us. "He even took it hope for his personal collection. Small world, but all true!"

Guitarist Dan Lewinsky adds, "It's quite an honor. I mean, there would be no Lewinskies if it weren't for Billie Joe Armstrong."

For a taste of the Harmonica Lewinskies' unique brand of infectious groovy rock, check out their brand-new music video for 'Sitting On My Hands' at the top of this story. "Making the video was a great experience for all of us. We didn't have a big budget, but we were able to pull it off thanks to many of our friends who volunteered to help us," Rob Lewinsky, guitarist and vocalist, explains. And drummer Oliver Lewinsky tacks on, "It was a trip, figuratively and literally!"

But perhaps no one sums up the video better than trumpeter Chris Lewinsky: "Spooky. Scary. It's a werwolf bar mitzvah."

The Harmonica Lewinskies currently have one more show scheduled for 2014 at Rockwood Stage II in New York. And if you like what you hear -- and if you take Billie Joe Armstrong's advice! -- check out their full catalog here.

Who knows, maybe we'll see a tour with the Harmonica Lewinskies supporting Green Day soon!
