Festival International 2018 takes over downtown Lafayette Wednesday, April 25, through Sunday, April 29. "International" is the operative word, as the entertainment lineup features everything from homegrown Grammy winners like Terrence Simien to the Czech Republic glamtronic/electro-pop group Mydy Rabycad.

Speaking of Grammy winners, the most recent Acadiana group to bring home the hardware, the Lost Bayou Ramblers, will open the festivities on Wednesday night at Scene Laborde Earles Law Firm Fais Do Do stage at 6:30. That stage on the corner of Jefferson and Convent will be the only one featuring entertainment on that night.

The music cranks up on three stages Thursday night and in five areas on Friday. Saturday and Sunday, bring your walking shoes and wear comfortable clothes to make your way around downtown Lafayette to enjoy music on seven different stages!

Prepare to meet people from all over the world when you get to Festival International. Bands from more than 20 countries are scheduled to perform over the five days, and approximately 300,000 people visit Lafayette to enjoy the soiree that provides a great mix of food, music, and the perfect display of the Francophone culture.
