A dead blue whale has beached on the Atlantic Ocean shores of Trout River, Newfoundland.

While that's probably a somewhat regular occurrence in the Great White North of Canada, the problem with this one is that it's carcass is on the verge of exploding and raining down rotting whale guts across the countryside.

The Canadian government is now intervening, but there's a great amount of debate about who's responsible for getting rid of this 85-foot, 60-ton thing, which is stinking up the town.

Whatever the outcome, let's hope it's not something similar to how this dead whale has been dealt with.
