A former Auburn quarterback is fighting for his life in a Georgia hospital, and the family needs help.

ESPN college football analyst Cole Cubelic shared the news on Twitter, linking out a GoFundMe Page for his former teammate Jeff Klein.

Klein played for the Tigers from 1999 to 2001, playing the majority of his snaps as a freshman, completing 85 passes for 1,038 yards and 6 touchdowns in eight game appearances.

According to the GoFundMe Page, Klein was admitted to a hospital in Columbus, Georgia due to extreme back pain.

"Unfortunately, Jeff’s condition has rapidly become more drastic and equally challenging to the doctors since his admittance," reads the GoFundMe page. "There are still a lot of unknowns about future conditions and outcomes at this point."

Klein is a married father of three, who coaches and teaches at Loachapoka (grades 7-12) in Auburn.

The Klein family is asking for prayers and help during this difficult time.
