Flea’s L.A. Mansion Can Be Yours for $6.8 Million
If you're shopping around for a house -- an expensive house -- one just went on the market in Los Angeles: Flea's mansion is now for sale with a $6.8 million asking price.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist purchased the four-bedroom and -bathroom house, originally built in 1925, in 2011 for $4.5 million. His three-year residence in the place upped its value by $2 million. So apparently having a famous neighbor who used to perform onstage in nothing but a strategically placed sock doesn't bring down property value after all.
According to the mansion's listing, it comes with a library, swimming pool, spa, bar and a two-bedroom guest house. You'll also get a clear view of Griffith Park among all the redwood and olive trees lining the property. You can take a look at some of the photos below. Be warned: You'll get super-jealous by the time you're finished scrolling through them.
In addition to dabbling in real estate these days, Flea is hard at work on a new record with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He can also be heard on the debut album by Antemasque, a side project featuring former members of the Mars Volta.
