Five Finger Death Punch Bring Young Girl Onstage to Sing ‘The Bleeding’ at Chicago Open Air
Five Finger Death Punch may represent a tough guy exterior, but on the inside their still softies at heart! Singer Ivan Moody recently invited a young girl in the front row up to the stage to sing "The Bleeding" with him during their performance at Chicago Open Air.
In the video above, Five Finger Death Punch began playing the The Way of the Fist hit and Moody motioned for the little fan to come forward. The girl, Chylynne, hopped onstage, beaming with an ear-to-ear smile, and emphatically jumped around and sang the lyrics whether a microphone was in front of her or not. The frontman knelt down, bringing himself to her height as the two sang together.
During the screaming portion of the song, Chylynne began waiving her fist in the air to the rhythmic cadence, doing her best to match the gruffness of her hero, Moody. As the song ended, the singer lifted her in the air in a tight embrace as the crowd roared with applause. Guitarist Zoltan Bathory posted a photo on Instagram (seen below), stating, "This little girl was in the first row - singing every word - so Ivan brought her on stage - she sang the 'Bleeding' with us - wow- future rockstarlet in the making - she didn't even blink - brave little thing performed [in] front of 30,000."
Chylynne's aunt also posted a photo on Instagram (seen below), provided some background information, adding, "Such an amazing picture of my niece Chylynne singing 'The Bleeding' onstage with Ivan! Taken by @dinkusmaximus Such a huge part of my heart is reserved for this band and the love they have for their little #knuckleheads this made her whole weekend! The main reason we came was for Five Finger! So thanks so much for putting on an awesome show as always and making my little rockstar's night amazing!"
Five Finger Death Punch will embark on a Canadian headlining run in September with Papa Roach, Sixx: A.M. and From Ashes to New. A full list of stops can be found at our 2016 Guide to Rock + Metal Tours.
