Fezzo’s Broussard Location Set To Reopen After Fire
The fire alarm went off shortly after 11 PM Sunday night. Fire crews rushed to the scene on Ambassador Caffery Parkway in Broussard. Once there, they discovered the newest location of the popular local restaurant chain, Feezo's was on fire.
Eyewitness reports suggest that most of the fire was contained in the back half of the structure. However, there was damage to other parts of the building. Fire crews from six different departments worked for hours to extinguish the flames and hopefully minimize the damage.
Thankfully those fire crews were able to contain and extinguish the blaze in fairly short order. When the hotspots were finally out investigators confirmed that the majority of the damage to the business was in the back of the building. That's the bad news.
The good news is that the front of the house, where you and I sit when we go to Fezzo's to eat, was not damaged that badly if at all. This has owners of Fezzo's optimistic that you and I will once again be able to sit down to their South Louisiana style favorites as early as tomorrow (Nov 28).
Fire investigators have still not determined what caused the blaze although their investigation is ongoing.
