Federal Hearing Is Set On Former Saint Darren Sharper’s Plea Deal
Former New Orleans Saints safety Darren Sharper has a federal court hearing scheduled for his latest guilty plea deal for being charged of drugging and raping women in four different states.
He already pleaded guilty and no-contest but this latest hearing, which is scheduled for today. U.S. District Judge Jane Triche Milazzo rejected his original guilty plea deal for a nine-year sentence. She noted sentencing guidelines calls for a sentence in the range of 15 to 20 years.
Sharper might be able to reduce that sentence by cooperating in the case against two of his co-defendants. He has been accused in four different states, including Louisiana, Arizona, California and Nevada.
