Breaking – Explosion In Eunice Prompts 1 Mile Evacuation

From our sister station KPEL...There’s been a reported explosion at a gas plant in Eunice. It’s at the CDM Max on Fournerat Road.  Deputy Sheriff Ronnie Stout with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office says residents within a one-mile area of the plant are being evacuated. Eunice and Basile Fire Departments are on the scene setting up a landing pad for helicopters to land and care for injured people.
