According to multiple sources, including Rolling Stone and CNN, the long awaited third outing for Bill S. Preston, Esquire and 'Ted' Theodore Logan, Bill & Ted Face The Music, will be filming in New Orleans this summer with an intended release date of August 2020.

Stars Keanu Reeves (Ted) and Alex Winter (Bill) recently made the announcement that the third movie was indeed happening.

Dean Parisot, who directed the cult hit Galaxy Quest, will be at the helm from a script written by original Bill & Ted (both Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey) script writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.

Steven Soderbergh, who is a Baton Rougian and has made quite a name for himself in Hollywood, is serving as one of the executive producers on the film.

Here's the synopsis for Bill & Ted Face The Music:

"To fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.”

With all of this talk, paperwork should be filed soon with the state film office, but as of right now it hasn't yet.
