A $6 million dollar bond has been set.

We told you about Peter Gold, the Tulane Med student who rescued a woman in New Orleans, only to be shot in the stomach by the perpetrator. Thankfully the gun jammed as Euric Cain tried to shoot Gold in the head. The incident was caught on a very chilling video.

Gold has been released from hospital.

Cain was arrested 10 days ago in connection with the shooting, and attempted kidnapping of an unnamed woman. He was indicted today (12/3) by a New Orleans grand jury.

Cain, 21, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted aggravated kidnapping, armed robbery and attempted armed robbery with a firearm.

His bond was set at $6 million by Orleans Parish Criminal District Court Judge Franz Zibilich. Due to prior convictions, Cain faces anywhere from 49-198 years in prison if convicted.

Cain's 17-year-old girlfriend, Nictoria Washington, was also named in the five-count indictment as an accessory after the fact to attempted first degree murder. Washington is said to have helped harbor Cain while police searched for him. She could face up to five years in prison if convicted.
