Election Day in Louisiana is October 24, and we have some info to pass along to all the good citizens who will be out at their local polling locations.Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Voters in line at 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote. You can check out the location for voting in parishes around the state, and also see everything you need to know about registration, voting, and even see a sample ballot at geauxvote.com.

This is a really, great resource for voting information, including where you need to go, and what you need to bring with you to the polling place on Election day. For future elections there is also a list of early voting locations, registrar of voter locations, and polling places for each parish, so you have no excuse not to get out and utilize your constitutional right to vote! And thank you to Louisiana Secretary of State Tom Schedler for the info!
