I'm the kind of person who likes to travel light. By light, I mean usually with one or two people. I'm not one to fly on an airplane unless the situation calls for it. In the last 10 years, there have been very interesting and disturbing acts taking place during flights. We all know about the unfortunate events of September 11th, 2001.

Terrorism is one of the things we as humans have to be on guard about when traveling on airplanes. Now, get this, it seems like "Urine"-ism is now something we have to look out for now. Chaos erupted on JetBlue's red-eye flight from Portland, Ore., to JFK yesterday when a drunk allegedly urinated on a sleeping 11-year-old girl. Robert Vietze, 18, of South Warren Vt., stumbled from his seat five rows behind her and emptied his bladder, a witness said.

Then apparently there was yelling and almost fisticuffs between Vietze and the girl's father which stopped him "mid-pee". One passenger, who did not wish to be identified (who can blame him or her), said "I woke up to this man yelling and literally looking like he was about to punch this kid in the face. The father was screaming, 'F - - k that kid! I don't want him near my family!'"

Did I mention that I'd rather not fly? Also, during the 5 and a half hour flight, one passenger was complaining of chest pains and started vomiting. Like I said before, I will fly only if the circumstance calls for it. Six Port Authority cops met the plane at the gate at around 6:30 a.m. Two escorted the ill passenger off, and four took Vietze into custody. Vietze was issued a federal summons for indecent exposure and released.
