Don’t Wear Camouflage In The Caribbean!
If you plan on taking a trip to any of the countries in the Caribbean, you may want to leave the camouflage at home.
According to www.nonrevtravelnews.com, many of the countries of the Caribbean have outlawed the wearing of ANY camouflage by non-military or non-police personnel.
Jamaica, Grenada, St. Lucia, Dominica, St. Vincent, Barbados - a whole host of countries have limitations or all-out bans on wearing/possessing the attire and, if caught, you could face fines and/or jail time.
Much of the concern comes from people trying to impersonate military or police to shake down tourists or to be confused by residents as actual military or police.
So, before you pack to board that plane or get on that cruise ship, be certain you know the local laws and traditions of the countries you plan to visit.
