We've all heard the wives tale. "Red cars are ticket magnets." Is this REALLY true?

The Star-Telegram reports that's not true, at least in Texas. The last time I got a speeding ticket in Texas, I was driving a silver car. Charlie Wilkinson of the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas says, “Regardless of the color of the vehicle, it’s the behavior that will be noticed.”

Statistics indicate black cars were the most pulled over for speeding in 2016. That was followed by white, gray, and silver. Red came in at #5.

By the way, white is the most popular car color in North America, followed by black, gray, silver, and red. I got pulled over for speeding in a red car once. I don't think it had anything to do with the color of the car. I was speeding.
