"FRESH", an upcoming movie about a serial killer cannibal, has people scratching their heads over the fact that ultimately, this is a Disney production.

Movie lovers and critics seem to be pretty stunned right now over an upcoming movie "FRESH" about "a serial killer cannibal who carves women up after seducing them and sells their body parts to rich people to eat" according to dailymail.co.uk.

Disney Horror Movie 'Fresh'

What are people so shocked and confused about?

Apparently, two things.

The first reason is reportedly over what a gory, twisted, and disgusting movie "FRESH" is.

The second reason is that, ultimately, "FRESH" is in fact a Disney production.

From dailymail.uk -

"Some are stunned by the fact that Disney, which is known for its family-friendly content, is branching out so extremely with the R-rated, blood-and-guts thriller."

"FRESH" premiered last Thursday (01/20/22) at The Sundance Film Festival and was subsequently scooped up by Searchlight, one of Disney's subsidiary studios.

Now, it's important to know that "FRESH" will not be officially released on Disney Plus but it will be available on Disney owned on Hulu and Disney Sky beginning March 4, 2022.

The movie is directed by Mimi Cave and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Sebastian Stan, Jojo T. Gibbs, Charlotte Le Bon, Andrea Bang, and Dayo Okeniy.

So, what in the heck is "FRESH" all about?

From CBR.com -

"Its official plot description points audiences in the right direction when it states that the movie is about 'the horrors of modern dating seen through one young woman's defiant battle to survive her new boyfriend's unusual appetites.'"

When you think Horror Movies, Disney isn't a name that you would traditionally make an association with.

Looks like that's about to change...
