Department Of Homeland Security Warns: ‘The Zombies Are Coming!’

The Department of Homeland Security wants you to be prepared, and says, 'The zombies are coming!' This is all tongue in cheek of course. We're not in any real danger. Keep reading to find out why they would say such a thing! It actually makes a lot of sense, and is a pretty awesome way of getting people prepared...

"...the government urged citizens Thursday to prepare for a zombie apocalypse, part of a public health campaign to encourage better preparation for genuine disasters and emergencies. The theory: If you're prepared for a zombie attack, the same preparations will help during a hurricane, pandemic, earthquake or terrorist attack.

 

Among the government's recommendations were having an emergency evacuation plan and a change of clothes, plus keeping on hand fresh water, extra medications and emergency flashlights."

To further that you don't REALLY need to be worried about zombies, the CDC flat out denied their existence.

Pretty awesome way to get people prepared for real disasters though, right??
