A few weeks ago, 17-year-old Allison Closs decided to take a cardboard cutout of Danny DeVito to prom instead of a real human. The actor had the perfect response.

“I considered other celebrities, like Bill Nye the Science Guy,” she told the New York Post. “But many of them would [have required] ordering a custom-made cutout, and I’m not about that money life, if you know what I’m saying.”

She said that she's an aspiring filmmaker, and an acknowledgement from the star would be huge. Well, news got back to DeVito, who more than just acknowledged her appreciation.

Via DeVito's co-star in It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Rob "Mac" McElhenney, Closs got quite the response. [Click right on the picture]
