Costco will be coming to Lafayette in the not too distant future. Along with it will come a "power center" called Ambassador Town Center!

The power center will feature other stores and restaurants. It will be located on the corner of Ambassador Caffery Pkwy and Kaliste Saloom Rd.

Acadiana Business says that some stores and restaurants that are rumored to be put into the power center are Dick's Sporting Goods, Panera Bread (FINALLY), Chuy's Mexican restaurant, and Field & Stream. None of these are confirmed, but all would be welcomed! The closest to confirmation was that a national sporting goods and outdoor retailer has committed.

Also, Acadiana Business has this in their story:

Editor's Note: A planned Friday update to this story explaining how the project will help ease congestion at the intersection of Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Kaliste Saloom Road will be filed at a later date. Stirling Properties' Townsend Underhill tells ABiz the developers will share plans for infrastructure improvements, including new roads at the site, before the local Industrial Development Board public hearing, which has not been set.

Hopefully they will be able to decongest that intersection, cause it gets bad bad!

What do you think about Lafayette getting a Costco, and POWER CENTER?
