Coheed And Cambria rocked the Varsity Theater in Baton Rouge this past Thursday night! Out of all the times I have seen them, this was by far, the best time!

This was the last headlining show on their 2012 Southern tour, so they made sure to play quite an long, intimate set! I am a dedicated fan, so I was pretty excited to see drummer Josh Eppard back with the band! Don't get me wrong, I am a HUGE Chris Pennie fan, but it wasn't the same Coheed without Josh. All the songs were played at album tempo, which made the set 2 hours!

This also marked the first time I have seen them with new bassist Zach Cooper. Cooper replaced previous and original bass player Michael Todd, because of Todd's recent brush with the law which you can read here. Cooper is the perfect replacement. A great bass player!

They premiered their new song 'Sentry The Defiant' and also did a superb cover of Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know'. From the opening song 'Time Consumer' to closing with 'Welcome Home', this was even better than the 3 hour 'Neverender' show I went to last year!
