Crowley has won the District competition title of "2021 Cleanest City". Now, it's on to compete on the state level.

Kathy Tell, Louisiana Garden Club Federation District VII Cleanest City Chairman informed Crowley Mayor Tim Monceaux of the great news yesterday according to KATC.

The Cleanest City Contest is held Statewide each year during the first week of May.

Crowley Mayor Monceaux tells KATC he would like to "commend the citizens of Crowley, the volunteers who assisted us on our 2 clean-up days, and Alderman Sammy Reggie, III, and Crowley Tourism Director Val Hoffpauir who spearheaded this year's Cleanest City Contest."

The LGCFD says in a statement on lgcfinc.org the purpose of the contest is to "instill civic pride in the individual citizens and thus, improve the appearance of towns and cities."

Crowley will now compete for the state title against the other winning Cities around Louisiana. The state judging takes place during the last two weeks of May.

Good luck Crowley, you got this!
